The inaugural Craft BC Whisky Weekend highlights and supports local BC distilleries by showcasing the innovative and diverse array of whiskies made in the province. Hosted on October 29-30th in both Vancouver and Victoria, this event was the first of it’s kind in British Columbia. Not only did it exclusively showcase BC Craft Whiskies, but the event happened simultaneously in two cities at once and was organized and facilitated by women!

Over 50 Local Spirits Featured
Each 75 minute masterclass was designed as a lateral tasting organized by grain type so attendees discovered the variety of flavour profiles from BC whiskies made from the same grains!
Horizontal tastings are a great way to isolate one variable (in this case grain type) so you can get a sense for how each distilleries’ fermentation, distillation, and maturation processes influence what’s in the bottle.
