Nose: Clean, clear notes of malt, nutty cereal, with loads of sweet apples, peaches and soaring floral esters on the nose, lead into sweet fruits and canned peach syrup on the palate.
Palate: Brisk peppery spices and pink sushi ginger keep the palate lively and exciting. The whisky is big and mouth-filling with textures somewhat like chocolate and halva.
Finish: A longish finish remains pleasingly sweet and fruity with lingering crisp peppery spice. -

TRUST Canadian Rye begins with 75% organic rye and 25% organic barley grown in Armstrong, British Columbia. It is triple-distilled in our hand-made CARL single copper pot still. For (3) years, it has rested in mature 220-litre red Burgundy barrels to gain character, complexity and colour. It is then transferred to finish in new American Oak barrels.

On the nose, TRUST Canadian Rye offers textbook spice that defines ‘Classic Rye’. Notes of cinnamon, Mandarin orange peel, baked apple and vanilla all combine to provide the palette with a profound depth of complexity and body. Rich warm tones of honey, allspice, nutmeg and toffee envelop the mouth, with a finish that just lingers on and on.

Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery is pleased to present BC Rye Whisky. This proudly Canadian whisky exemplifies the spirit of the west with a smooth yet spicy mix of good old Western Interior sass.
With a blend of 51% of our Coldstream Valley Rye, and 49% of our locally malted BC Barley, this three year-old hand-crafted Rye is aged in our custom American white oak barrels and then cut with our secret source of local artesian well water.

This years BC Rye release is a gorgeously complex whisky with layers of elegance that keep unfolding with each successive sip. The nose starts with tones of vanilla and malted grain, which are soon complimented with layers of stone fruit and even a ghost of banana. As the whisky flows over the tongue and across the palate, there is a touch of toasted oak and a smooth warm mouth feel followed by a hint of plum pudding. The finish is long and luxurious and reminds the connoisseur of why Rye whisky used to rule the Canadian Frontier.

Liberty Distillery - TRUST Southern Whisky

TRUST Southern begins with 100% organic corn grown in Spallumcheen, British Columbia. It is triple-distilled in our hand-made CARL single copper pot still. For (3) years, it has rested in new American Oak barrels to gain character, complexity and colour. Once extracted from barrel, the corn based whiskey is then blended with Liberty’s rye for a final whiskey composition of 75% corn and 25% rye.

TRUST Southern presents with a beautiful rich amber tone. On the nose, TRUST Southern offers toasted orange notes. Mandarin orange peel, oak, and textbook ‘ripe’ peach character are underscored by a layer of warm caramel and vanilla. Rich and well balanced with spice, honey and subtle sweetness. Warm and soothing, with a long lasting finish that just lingers on and on.

Okanagan Spirits - BRBN

Harvested from Coldstream valley grain corn, through diligent milling, fermenting, distilling and aging we introduce BC’s first Bourbon-style Corn Whisky, BRBN.
The grain corn is grown just west of our Vernon Flagship distillery, and is milled onsite before being fermented and distilled in our state-of-the-art copper pot flavour stills.
After a carefully monitored distillation process, our BRBN whisky is put down to rest and mature in carefully selected white American toasted oak casks. These heavily toasted and medium charred barrels impart subtle layers of caramel and vanilla while also giving the whisky its deep rich auburn colour

We can’t call this Canadian whisky Bourbon, so we called it the B-Word! This bourb*n-style whisky has a mash-bill of 63% corn, 27% malt and 10% rye. It was aged for 3 years in new oak barrels and then blended together to produce a beautiful, bold batch of 1100 bottles.

Bearface Distillery - Triple Oak 7 Year
-
BEARFACE Triple Oak is a single grain Canadian whisky matured for seven years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, then aged in French oak red wine casks and air-dried virgin Hungarian oak.

Bearface opens a little “oaky” but then leans into rich marzipan with a bright and almost pine-y honey next to soft vanilla and a hint of tart dried fruits. The palate moves towards a savory note with melon and saffron-stewed pears mingling with creamy balsamic vinegar (the thick and sweet kind), apricot jam with cinnamon, and a hint of scone. The end has a bit of spice to it — more nutmeg and cardamon — alongside orange peels, brown sugar syrup, and a light vanilla wafer.

This Whiskey has captured the intriguing and complex floral tones offered by Korsan and Spelt ancient grains but not weight. Emmer is the backbone with lots of rich concentration and elements of spiced honey. Barley adds a nice punch of graham cracker and length to the finish.
Having rested in 200L casks for 3+ years, the finish is long and satisfying with interesting character from the single use Bourbon barrel. Hints of vanilla and toast are captured from its brief stay in a new American Oak Barrel.

Macaloney’s - Peated Mac Na Braiche

The new-make underpinning this single malt took “World’s Best” at the prestigious 2020 World Whiskies Awards. This is the first single malt outside of Islay to use Canadian barley peat-smoked to 54 ppm at the distillery in a proprietary soaker-smoker. Whiskymaker Dr. Graeme Macaloney studied the traditional peat-smoking process in Islay, recreating it here on Vancouver Island. Matured in Portuguese red wine barriques.

Odd Society presents two softly smoked styles of peated whisky that honour old and new in its inaugural Peat & Smoke release. Distillers Gordon Glanz and Joel McNichol procured peated malt from Scotland and Washington State, coaxing specific characteristics from each to create two distinguishable whiskies that uniquely express the region from which the peat was sourced.
The Washington whisky is delicate with a lick of campfire smoke and touch of brininess—it’s the taste of the Pacific Northwest—while the Scottish is much more phenolic and viscous with classic Islay whisky characteristics.

With individually numbered bottles, it is sought after by those who appreciate fine whisky.
This Invermallie special release comes from a select re-charred red wine barrique imported from Europe.

This barrique underwent the Dr. Jim Swan shave-toast-rechar preparation and gives a wonderfully complex nose with red berries, dried fruit, demerara sugar, leather, oak and honey. The palate is creamy and full bodied with layers of tropical fruits, wood spices, brandied dark fruit cake, cigar, cocoa, Maltesers, oats and honey. The finish is long with dried fruit and lingering oak.

The ‘Lady of the Cask’ is handcrafted in small batches at our Craft Distillery in Penticton on the Naramata Bench. We use the finest Okanagan grapes and masterfully aged the brandy to perfection since 2010 in premium French oak barrels. This fine charred and mellowed oak achieves a golden amber colour, rich butterscotch aromas and extra smooth taste.
Master distiller Jorg Engel oversees every step in this time-honoured tradition ensuring uncompromised purity and handcrafted quality is in every drop.

Created using Okanagan, BC, Jonah Gold and Hyslop Crab apples it delivers a distinct change-up between lively flavours of exotic fruit and cinnamon with the aromas of the oak barrel that has set free hints of vanilla.
Stored in French Oak barrels for a minimum of three years this apple brandy has convinced many Single Malt (Scotch) connoisseurs with it’s oak finish and makes an ideal gift for whisky drinkers.
Great as a stand-alone sipper, in Sidecars and any recipe that calls for Calvados.
